How much do you pay for 20,000Km inspection?

I was charged $660 including front brake pads replacement and new oil.
New engine oil was charged $33/1l.
Is this normal? Looks overcharged to me.
Dealer is local, Automobile Bavaria in Bucharest, my city.

You are paying in USD? I've detailed my costs in Euros for the same work, but in France.

My 20,000 service cost 170.89, parts charged were:

Labour 80.09
Oil filter 14.50
Washer 0.50
Air filter 18.80
Oil 52.00
Wash! 5.00

Oil required = 3.5l at 12.54/l.

Front brake pads are around 220 fitted.

Service and brakes at my costs would be 390 = $549 so your $660 looks expensive, but depends on local labour rates and exchange rates. I'm guessing you've taken a hot on the currency.

I know you might not be into the whole do it your self thing, but there is nothing on your list of items that wouldn't be really easy to do. I estimate all the materials and supplies to cost no more than $150USD if obtained locally and NOT at a dealer. As far as warranty issues I would just keep records of what was done, and maybe ask the dealer to put the bike on their computer for a readout and just pay for that service. $500-$600 is just too much to pay for routine maintenance/fluids in my opinion.

Front brake pads take me less than 30 minutes to install, but I know the BMW parts are expensive. I have not found a less expensive alternative yet, but I will.

That being said, when I had more income and less time I paid for service at the rate you are talking and just rode the bike.

You can get EBC brake pads for the new GT. The rear pads are FA438HH, the front left pads are FA335HH, and the front right pads are FA441HH. I've found them on sale for under $30/set.

See this thread for details, specifically post #2.

My 20k cost me around $400 Aussie or US$320 without the pads.
Given that they also did a full clutch replacement under warranty at the same service I didnt mind the bullshit service cost.
I just did a 30k on my GSA at the same dealer this week and they quoted me "up to $300".
When I picked it up I got a bill for $440.
They then explained that at 30ks my spark plugs were worn out and charged me $120 for four spark plugs.
I could get a great hour with fine young lady for $120!
My GT will be out of warranty in September and the GSA is sold now so I will be doing most of my servicing myself or using some of the local non dealer BMW workshops.
