Does it really work on K1200GTs from 2006 and up? The other supported models that they list for the same part are the older R1150R and K1200RS, which are peers of the earlier first generation K1200GT. I note that the description reads K1200GT "Updated Model" and the text "up to model year 2007". It is confusing.

They aren't up to date on any other BMW models listed on the page, except the F650GS, which I bet is the older single cylinder model.

I would be concerned about Canbus problems on a 2006 or later GT. Just my 2 cents worth.

I e-mailed them and asked if "up to 2007" was inclusive or not. Haven't heard from them yet.

I talked to a gentleman from Florida, that I met at the MOA rally in Gray TN, and he had an LED brake light installed on a 2007 K1200GT.
It did not affect the Canbus system since it draws very little amps, he just pigtailed it to the existing brake light. I really liked the LED output, you could see it from a mile away.
His was a Whelen LED brake light.

LEDs

I use the Kisan LED license plate frame sold by the Pirate http://pirateslair.net/Kisan.htm and love it, but for a burnt-out light or two after 2 years. Auxilary directionals and brake lights for the same money.

Kissans made my canbus mad. intermittent bulb out warnings drove me nuts. They replaced the bulbs but it didn't matter. My buddy has them on his 09 RT and they work flawlessly. I guess my 07 is sensitive. I am gonna watch this thread closely, because I aint gonna blow 135 bucks again unless i know it will work.

Cool, that helps. I had their stuff on two RT's, they are a good bunch.
