God I Love This $%^# Forum!

GOD I LOVE THIS $%^# FORUM!

This forum has been the best investment in the whole onership of my GT I swear to God. I love it and all the info you guys share.

I just did a quicko search, found 4 others with my new weird problem (http://www.k-bikes.com/forums/showthread.php?t=19237) , and found the broken wire on my ignition switch EXACTLY where the others found it after two nights of looking all around.

Good job folks!

It LOOKS like after I pull the switch, I can solder 'er up on my own. I would comment though it does NOT look like a case where a zip tie stressed it, just another example of the wrong type wire for the appliication (too small, too stiff) and certainly NOT weatherproofed or reinforced. (pictures will be posted after operation tomorrow).

So that's two broken wires on my bike (fronright brake wire found broken and resoldered, and this ignition wire), I wonder how many MORE there will be over time?

Thanks!

Glad you found the problem. I agree this is a terrific site and is the reason I toss a few bucks into the pot to keep it going. Can't tell you how much money I have saved thanks to the fine folks that inhabit this bit of the internet.

Yup, cool it was an easy fix. Pictures would be great if you get them and so would a few key words like "shorted out wires" or "ignition" cause you just know this will happen again and some one will be searching for it.
