VIN Question

This may seem like a dumb question but where is the VIN located on a 2007 K1200GT?
I just purchased this bike and I cannot find the VIN location yet.
I couldn't find anything online yet either.
Any assistance would be appreciated!

Garage
page 13 of the riders manual shows it being on the rear side of the clutch cover area.
I am too lazy to go out to the garage and verify exactly where it is.

I don't want to fault you here, but I think everyone should check their VIN against their other paperwork before they sign anything........don't ask me how I know, and it happened in Burnaby too......!

+1 to that!

I actually owned a friends BMW for a year before we figured out the VIN's were swapped.

California had a box on the registration marked RT, which was my model of BMW at the time. Turned out the RT was some identifier code the state used for something. Never bothered to check the VIN since all the paperwork went through for me. It was my friend that kept having problems finishing the registration..

I was lucky I didn't have any accidents or tickets requiring insurance proof!!

Thanks for your assist.
I was able to find the VIN in the area mentioned. It's funny how you can miss these types of things.
Guess I should dig out the reading glasses more often!
