Will 4gig or 8gig HD micro sd card work in BMW Nav IV GPS?

I successfully loaded my mp3s on a 2 gig micro sd card which works great on the GPS. After search posts and internet, I can't confirm whether or not a high density micro sd card (4 or 8 gig) will work with a BMW NAV IV GPS? Can anyone confirm yay or nay? Thanks a lot. Molecule

If it's the Zumo unit, almost any sdhc card should work. 4, 8, or 16 gig. Don't know about 32 gig as with a 1000 song limit I've never needed one. However you might want a bigger card for more map space or other storage too. I have a few of these laying around for different devices and they work just fine. For 30 bucks you can't go wrong. Think they're class 4. Plenty fast enough for mp3's.

16 gig sdhc

Don't worry about higher class and transfer rates unless you plan on using the cards for something else too...like a high end digital camera that needs a fast transfer rate.

Molecule.

The largest MicroSD card at the moment is 16gb and they work fine in the BMW Navigator IV (Zumo 660).

The only thing to be aware of is the more songs you add, the longer the startup will be on the Navigator. I have found the load time with ~1000 sounds to be acceptable but 2000+ I thought my system was toast before I realized that the unit scans the memory card EVERY TIME it boots ! I have requested and hope that Garmin allows this process to a manual update!

Merry Christmas & Happy New Year!
