Help With "Supplemental LED Brake Light & Harness"

Just purchased the 2010 Red 1300GT.

Has anyone installed the Supplemental LED Light? I am trying to figure out the best approach to gain access to the brake light connector so that I can connect the spade connector on the harness. I started unscrewing the rear light assembly and some other things and with no success. It appears to be time consuming which I find hard to believe. I figured there must be an easy way to gain access.

Thanks
Mark

A few folks here have installed these. You can find details in this thread and this thread and this thread.

Some people see the gas tank as half empty. Some see it as half full. All I care is that I know where the next tankful is coming from...

I went with the P3 lights from skenedesign.com. Easy to install except where the instructions said you could get at power from the little indicator light in the headlight assembly. You can't. I had to pull the side panel to find the harness and tap in there. Otherwise I really like them. Search P#.

Thanks everybody for your help.

Very easy once you know what parts need to be removed.
