Weatherproof mount for a car gps to work on a bike?

I have just been given a Garmin 265WT for Christmas.

It works great... in my truck...

Are there any motorcycle enclosures for such a unit? 2007 K1200GT? I have a helibar spacer on the bike, which I guess would allow me to thread in a ram mount, but I don't see any type of enclosure / mount system out there...

I appreciate any / all ideas... thanks

I saw this Aqua Box at Whitehorse a while back and it looked pretty good. HOWEVER, it will NOT work with a GPS that has a flip out antennae like my Nuvi does

I'm still waiting for an "after Christmas sale" on the Zumo 660...if anyone happens upon a great deal please lemme' know. Thanks............

Less expensive, you have this box which I mount on my 4 1000 Varadero and after on my K 1300 GT :

I put my Garmin Nuvi 760 into since 2 years.

Granted once I bought a ball for the back it was even $ wise but it mounted to my existing RAM MOUNT in about a minute. I do like that Otterbox in yellow tho. Maybe on my GS ...

My only issue is that occasionally my Nuvi will hang on start up and I need to turn it off and back on again. That is a PITA when in this box.

Oupppppppsssssss !

I confused and $.......sorry......

But I certified that the otterbox is very waterproof because I have made more of 60 000 km (37 500 miles) with it.

Like the fact that like the RAM MOUNT box, it has the ability to put a lock on it as well.

I'm using the zumo with the multimedia wire so this set up would never work for me, Just curious how to you access the controls without stopping, and opening the aquabox? If I want to change songs, check fuel, distance, find a gas station, or change destinations I reach down and do it.

cheapo waterproof GPS

Balking at the 300+ Price for a Garmin 550 (waterproof) I sprung for a 255 (120ish). One tube of clear RTV later (on the speaker grill and minisd port) and the thing survived several rainstorms on my run to Key West this past month. Granted it was inside the windshield on my '87 LT but it's a parabellum replacement with the pseudo NACA duct so the GPS got fairly wet during the rain.

Zero problems. I'd still do the plastic baggie trick if I knew it was going to be well soaked.

The lens is not rigid, it is flexible and the touch screen works fine through it. In fact, it is a tiny bit less sensitive which is actually a boon in my opinion as I hit bumps trying to touch buttons .. oops, I mean I never adjust my GPS while in motion. My Nuvi wire has a big gomby head on it as well, fits in the Aquabox just fine.

But .. aren't ZUMOs already weather proof? Why would you even want to put it in a box?
