Canadian Tire Distributor

Could anyone direct me towards a cost effective canadian tire distributor?

All the good prices seem to be in the USA but shipping and border taxes are a killer.

Canadian Tire Distributor

I've had really good results with MotoPlex Atlantique in Moncton New Brunswick. Their main deal is to provide great tire prices! You can get hold of 'em at www.atlanticmotoplex.com.

Thanks but not much of a deal there....got about the same last year in Vancouver and they took the wheels off the bike , mounted and balanced. But I did get a lead through the grapevine on a retired mechanic selling tires out of his garage, that one I will check out for sure, and close to me also....relatively...but a great ride!
I sholud also go buy that brand new Pilot Power someone has on Craigslist for $50.00, also close to me...relatively...!

I guess these "sound" like good deals, wonder if they have any, Warranty?,
Blemishes?,Hot?,

As well, if you can get 2 quality tires from a reputable dealership for $300.00,
it "is" a good deal in my neck of the woods

I checked that link in Vancouver, more like $400.00, plus taxes, mounting & balancing extra.
Only one front tire for my bike on Craigslist, maybe someone smashed his rocket before he could put it on.....that kind of roads here! Or maybe he should have put it on before and not smash....!

But you are reminding me of something I just read, where the guy mentioned that most of the first quality tires were going to dealers, the seconds were all going to the "mail order" kind of outfits. Don't know, and I find it hard to believe that reputable companies such as Michelin would have two qualities of tires, but anything is possible these days.

My dad was a Michelin dealer, so I may be a little biased here.

But the old mechanic working out of his garage...that is coming down through the BMW grapevine....nothing hot there, will find out soon anyways, need to so I can maybe steer some other riders his way. Lots of bikes travelling across here, many end up paying way too much for tires because they do not know where to go and end up at the "Big" shops. Something developping on the ADVrider forum on that, will see how it goes.

Warranties? Does anyone gives you one unless you pay for it separately? Some dealers used to do that a few years ago, an extra $10.00 or so per tire. Mines never seem to last long enough to require warranty....or by then I am thousand of Ks from where I bought the tires.
