Looking for a Tankbag for K1300GT

I just purchased a new K1300GT and it's sitting in a snow covered Garage waiting to be hauled from northeast Ohio to Sunny Daytona in March.
I would like to get a tankbag before I go. I am looking at the Engage XL with power. Has anyone used this on a GT ? Does it interfere with handelbars in tight turns ?
Thanks, John

John,

I have it and it is wonderfull, It will not interfere. You need to align the mounting bracket to the bike as it's locked onto the bottom mount and mark your location underneath before you drill your holes into the bag.

Make sure the bracket that mounts to the tank will work on a K1300, the 1200 has different mounting for the fuel cap, the 1300 is not like what is shown. They probably have a bracket for the 1300, but be sure of what you are buying.

I have the same setup as Mark and it's a great product as I was able to fit all of my electronics in it. Autocom Pro AVI, Escort 8500, Centec-AP1, Kenwood 3200L, cell phone, E-Z Pass, and the Bluetooth Dongle. All with plenty of room to spare.

I pull the Zumo along with the RAM mount, XM Antenna puck, pop them in the bag, pull the pin on the front of the bag and everything electronic is off the bike. Takes 2 minutes

Gilly I reckon that the really purdy paint on the pictures shown is a 1300 all day long?

My tank bag setup is the same as the photo. The older GTs may not be compatible with the K1300GT but I can vouch for the 07 K1200GT being the same. (I kept mine from the 07 and put it on the 09)

Got to the Twisted Throttle web site and all the information you need is right there.

The only thing I didn't like was learning where to put it while refueling. My Zumo is fed from the Centec in the bag so the wire limits where it can go without putting too much strain on it. I've found that all I need to do it raise the windshield and it sits on the brake reservoir.

DG,
Is yours the engage or the engage XL. Do you get any interference with handlebars in tight turns ?
Thanks,
John

It's the XL and no, there's no interference at all. I did set back about an inch to the rear when I mounted the top mount so it wouldn't get anywhere near the paint though.
