Disable turn signal cancellation?

Are there any CANbus tricks that will disable the auto turn signal cancellation function on an '07 GT?

I think it is a built in feature.

Yeah, I'm finding it a real PITA. Seems like I'm always having to either cancel it manually, or activate multiple times (if I want to signal for a longer period at higher speed.) If the implementation is going to be this poor it's better off just being manual. What it needs is a bank sensor so it knows when a turn occurs (even 80's-vintage bikes had these.)

The duration can be adjusted at a dealer so I'm guessing they can also turn it off completely

No shit. Last season I watched a Harley chick riding her own sportster wearing a pink beanie helmet actually texting as she rode her bike with one hand.

Of course I couldn't resist sneaking alongside and blowing my horn just to see if she would drop the phone. These stock horns really suck!

Would like to know about this too, I have the same type of problem, but have been getting used to it. My old K Bike worked great, but same thing as smiller is talking about on the GT. At higher speeds, when approaching a turn, they cancel too soon. Around town, they seem OK, but if I am at say 50 or 55 and slowing down and signal at an appropriate distance, they cancel and I find I really need to hit the button again to get signals for the last 50-75 feet before the turn. maybe I really need to wait before activating, but I DO like getting that signal activated in plenty of time before a turn.
When I push the signal button the second time, by then my speed is slower and the signals will stay activated even longer than the first time I pushed it, end result is that now the sigs are STILL on well after they need to be. So I either cancel them myself or just let it time out on it's own.
Would be nice for the sigs to stay on longer at the higher speed level.

Looking at GT owners manual, they say 10 seconds or 650 ft.
The old K75 I think it was 2 stages, dependent on how fast you were going, and I don't think there was a time element at all. Higher speeds meant you got MORE distance before they cancelled, low speeds meant a shorter distance.
So, they way I see it, at higher speeds, it is cancelling at 650 ft. At the lower speed (after I hit the button the second time) it is probably going for 10 seconds, I time out before I get 650 ft.
Yeah if they can set that distance up a couple hundred feet, i think that would fix it.
