Garmin 2720

I have a RCU shelf on my 06 GT and want to mount a Garmin on it. What is the best way to route power to unit. I know about the plug by the steering but need to get power routed up to the shelf. Is there an existing hole or opening I can use, does one need to be drilled? Thanks in advance for any advice.

All I can add is that you might not want the power to be "switched". A while back I wired my first GPS that way and fount it annoying waiting for it to boot back up and find the satellites all over since that unit doesn't have battery power. If you want it to turn off just push the button. That way it's always ready to go.

Garmin wiring

Problem solved. I took the windshield and air deflector off and there are three little holes already there. Ran the Garmin wiring through the center one and fed it back to my Centech fuse block. Perfect.

Yep, I was gonna point you there. I even found room in there for my satellite radio antenna puck for the Garmin Zumo/GPS unit.

Me, too, as that's where my GPS wires run.
