18,000 Miles No More Clutch Squeal

Finally no more clutch squeal on my 08 GT1200, just took in in for the 18,000 service and let them know in addtion to the squeal (documented since 6oo mile service) now have chaterring. My dealer took one ride and said ok its time and put in a new cluch under waranty BMW of Ventura). Now a happy camper just love the bike.

Glad they took care of you. Ventura BMW has replaced my clutch twice now. They're an excellent shop that truly cares about their customers.

Unfortunately, the chatter can come back in a little as 2,000 miles . . .

All lower 48 states plus Alaska on the K13GT in two weeks . . .

Some people see the gas tank as half empty. Some see it as half full. All I care is that I know where the next tankful is coming from...

I had the exact same experience at Fresno BMW. I documented it at the 6K service and they said we should see whether it gets better with mileage. It didn't and when I took it in at 18k for brake wear sensor light the third time I mentioned the clutch was still squealing and chattering. They test rode it and replaced the clutch and oil pump drive sprocket. No more squealing BTW, I did the 18k service myself, including valve check, and they had no problem with that.
