Short life of Bridgestone BT020's

Just checked my BT020's this weekend, and found that after only 5000kms they need replacing! This comes as quite a shock as the last pair lasted 8000kms. I can only assume that spirited riding in mountain passes two up, with ESA set on sport, has brought about their early demise?

5000kms is only 3125 miles, and is by far the worst and fastest wear I've had on the GT, 12 or 1300. Both front and rear have worn out together, and I suppose the only upside is that I was looking to change over to PR2's again, although not quite so soon!

I'm living proof of the old adage "the older I get the faster I was"

Some people see the gas tank as half empty. Some see it as half full. All I care is that I know where the next tankful is coming from...

That's some pretty poor mileage. I have the same tires now with about 6000+ miles. The tires are still decent. I could probably go through the beginning of the season with them and then change. I'll be changing soon though just so I don't procrastinate.
When alone I ride hard, when the boss is on back, I take it easy.

Just getting down to the last 500m on my Dunlap Road Smart dual compound. Just over 7k miles total-have about 500 miles left-but must say last 1k miles one can really tell where the harder compound starts and ends-so far really no diff in handling. Fifth set of shoes-all brands and all have lasted 6.5-7.5k miles. Just got a sweet price on Mich PRC2's waiting patiently in the garage.
