K44 series K1x00GT Final Drive: $1,881 parts. Labor? Probably 2 hours or $200 (Although they probably can do it in 1/3 that.).

More interesting is the 'BMW Engine Price Connection.'

K1200GT engine = $12,000
K1300GT engine = $13,000

If the 'BMW Engine Pricing Connection' holds true, then:

K1600GT engine = $16,000 ???

Oh, the "Final Drive" on the S1000RR is $150 (BMW chain). I suspect they left a zero off the $150. Much cheaper at local Cycle Gear shop or lawnmower shop in bulk too.

Parts

Although not quite as detailed as the others and on a smaler scale....I just picked up a ('07) K12GT and it only came with one key, I need a spare, I call Bob's BMW in MD/VA area....those guys are really nice and helpful and tell me a spare key would be $50, I live in Virginia Beach and call my local BMW dealer (about 20mins from my home, but second choice for a reason) He tells me that the key will be $80. I know either way I'm going to spend $80 for the key but would rather go to Bob's and have a little fun driving there to get it, just burn $30 in fuel to get me there and back....

Not everything is silly money.
I'm on my 4th "headstock" cap... you know... that black plastic thing your side of the handle bars. When the 1st went awol I turned a nice one from aluminium, nice groove with an O ring to help hold it in place... lovely, lasted about 9 months, got home... gone. So I made another, this time it clipped in place and I added a smear of locktite too. Went to some unknown dimension while riding across Germany this summer? Anyway... I went to my dealers... 2.50, bargain, I should have got a boxfull.
Over the last year the black sheet metal brace under the screen has been showing signs of rust. I was all ready to make a stainless one... A new one was about 12.00. Not worth the effort making one.
Some / most parts though !!!!

The priceless part does in fact mean something to me...I took a two week trip across from Ohio to Pacific 1 with a stop at the MOA Rally in Redmond...I was so worried something was gonna fail in those 6800 miles with all the problems that I read about on this forum, but she was flawless and yes "PRICELESS" on that trip.

Glad you had a wonderful trouble free trip, and thanks for posting it.
