Safety recall

Got a letter from my dealer today headed up replace relay lever for the 08 GT. As tomorrow is Australia Day and hence a public holiday wondering if anyone is able to shed any light on what a relay lever is and what it does.

Cheers

If I understand correctly, it is a rear suspension component. Under the bike below the swing arm, there is that triangular shaped bracket, it is the small "dog bone" shaped arm in the center of that which extends upwards, it's a very short but tough arm.

Never have gotten a recall notice here (USA) on anything for any BMW bike. I'd be surprised if I did. Maybe it has broken down in too many shops and they don't know who will issue a recall to me?

Toyota passes the recall things out like chips though.

Had the recall done in Long Beach, CA. Took about 30 minutes, pretty painless.

Initial Success, or Total Failure.

I don't they were riding KGT's LOL. And anyway, every time you ride the bike between december 15th and march 15th, you're illegal

The Quebec politicians voted a law a couple years ago that only allows passanger vehicule with snow tires int this period. It's a long awful story but

Riding like they did must of been an experience of a lifetime. Last year my wife and I visited her brother who lived in Labrador city. When we came back, we left at 0600 hres after breakfast, had lunch at Manic 5 hydro electric dam, supper at Quebec city and got home at 0100 hres. I was in my Subaru with the heater on all the way. We were lucky we got in Labrador city when the temperature was at the lowest for that winter -45 on the car thermometer.

Bests Regards

I didn't get a letter but my dealer scheduled it when I had the bike in for its annual service.

Took about 30 mins.
