City Bag lids?

I was looking through eBay to see if there some "City Bags" available for my '08 K1200GT and ran across these:

http://cgi.ebay.com/ebaymotors/ws/eB...ht_1118wt_1167

Has anyone bought these? Feedback on them? I didn't see any actual BMW City Bags listed anywhere so I can only assume that they don't make them?

Thanks!
Jeff

Expensive! If there was a market I'd consider making a pattern at that price... phew!

I think historically the BMW lids and for that matters system cases in general are expensive. I think it would be nice to have some smaller around town/in the garage bags for everyday use but yeah - looking at $800-900 for a used set of bags is nuts!

Guy was up at the MOA in Redmond last year. What I noted was that they're not painted, so you buy them and then pay for the painting to match the bike, if matte black isn't sufficient for you. Also, the latches on the lid are two-fewer. Just the ones along the top are there. It might be the ones along the sides are too difficult to align.

I have an older version of the GT, with the city lids and jumbo lids, and depending on what I was doing, would swap them out. For the most part, though, the stock lids were on the bike more often than the other two combined. Originally I got the city lids because the bike had no lockable storage, and the psychological advantage for lane sharing in traffic. Turns out that the jumbo lids were fine for lane sharing ... or maybe I just got better at it.
