Ignorance = bliss?

Model specific web-sites are great....for those that use them. One can exchange information concerning their bike of choice and learning as we do here what was done wrong with their bike to begin with , ie poor egineering.(Damn you BMW ) and fix it before it becomes a problem.

But if one doesn't partake of such info, is it better? Does one ride merrily along for miles/years with no worries? Does one ride along and have an issue, be it major or minor and determine that it broke and move on with the fix or another bike?

I had two K Bricks (K100RRS & K1100RS) Although I frequented a website for the bike I never had any real concerns about the bike even though others noted problems with this or that. I rode along in bliss....for 88k miles.

Here I have taken measures noted about the GT and hopefully it will last a long time...but that ignorance I had before is gone.....it was bliss though when I had it.

I hot dog the K13GT like I hot dog my ricers. It has all the SB done to it and even has a worm plug in the back tire.

If it doesn't last then it is an overpriced POS.
