Rough running K12GT

I have a 07' K1200GT with 14K miles which has always run very smoothly. Last December I put the bike away for a few months in the garage, I filled the tank with Premium gas and put in some gas stabilizer. When I took the bike out this spring it was idleing really high about 1500 RMPs and backfireing on acceleration between 2000 and 3000 RPMs. No back fire on slowing down just during a slow accelleration between 2K and 3K.
I thought I would see improvement after burning the 1st tank of gas. but on the 2nd tank there was improvement but no cure.
Does anyone have any ideas what might be the problem?

Thanks
Scott

I'd take it to a dealer for analysis. Might be a cracked hose (minor), might be cam timing issue(major). In the case of the latter, I'd be transporting the bike instead of riding it, as things could go over a cliff the next time you start it.
I don't mean to sound like an alarmist, but mysterious operations have not been a good sign at all.

Just wondering if you have your problem resolved? I have the same bike and had a similar problem this spring. It seemed to disappear after I ran the winter gas off. Just curious...
