I am flumaxxed! Radar Detector!

I have a new K13GT,at 1000 miles, I had an Escort Qi45 "stealth" Radar detector installed(by BMW). I have laser "shifters" front and rear. After the install, it keeps going Fshifter shifting, shifting for about 30 seconds , then quits, only to start up again after about 3-5 mins. It lasts about 10-20 secs. I called Escort , and they said it was either bad ground, or there was engine"static" interfering, so sent (n/c) me a little box that negates engine static-- it hasn't helped.
Anyone had anyexperience with this sort of thing? i am thinking maybe just a bad unit, the palce where i bought the unit (Car Toys) says they might upgrade me to a 9500c(for huge $$$$) so i just don't know- would love to hear some thoghts from anyone. pleeze!

I ran into the same issue with an Escort 8500 on my GT. I solved it by replacing the direct wire cord with a usb cord (which is shielded and has ferrite cores at both ends). I also ran the feed and ground to my fuse block around ferrite cores and that solved the laser falsing until I installed some lights, I do not have the power feed or ground for the lights running through ferrite cores, so I am introducing ignition or other EMF from the bikes electronics back into the system again. I was looking at this filter which came highly recommended to replace the ferrite cores: http://www.davidnavone.com/cart.asp?14&pid=136

I am also throwing around the idea of replacing the 8500 which is long in the tooth with a Redline, but cash is a little tight at the moment. (It'll be even tighter if I win an award.)

Laser shifter issues

OK so i got nuts, and when the Qi45 didn't work , they dangled the 9500ci in front of me , be taking the Q45 back at full value, and selling me the 9500 whollesale-- all of which was pretty good, except the laser shifer(rear) still goes off---- it's either wiring, or vibration-- so will take your advice with me on Monday for it to get fixed.. thanks!!
