Gas Mileage Change after Cee Bailey shield

I am seriously considering installing a 24.5 inch Cee Bailey shield to replace my BMW 24.5....

Could someone please tell me if after installing a Cee Bailey...did your MPG go up or down?

I ride over 20K miles per year with a good mix of highway and city. Currently I get around 40 mpg during normal for me driving.

Thanks!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Mark

gas mileage difference

I've got a Cee Bailey's that's 2" taller & 2" wider than stock & the gas mileage is the same as with the stock windshield. 99% riding not in town. It's usually always in the completely up position. Tom

I put a 4 plus 4 on my 1300GT and I don't think it affected my MPG. The best mileage I have seen on the slab at 70 was 41. Normal for my riding style runs between 37 and 39.
For what its worth.

I keep careful mileage records, and installed a tall Aeroflow shield. Mileage definitely went down; by how much it is hard to say, but I estimate 2-3 mpg.

Note that most of the riding was at Interstate speeds, where wind resistance plays a greater factor.

For the latest spreadsheet, see post #53 in this thread:
