Question TPM Calibration?

I know this question has been around for long, the last long string of threads discussing this issue was a few years a go, so here it is again, is it possible to calibrate the tire pressure monitors? my pressure is correct and the light keeps showing while driving, can this be calibrated or defeated?

Short answer: No.

The TPM pretty consistently reads 3-4 psi below actual pressure. Once the warning light is on, due to a low-pressure situation or a bad sensor, the lights stays on until the fault is rectified (pressure is brought back up or faulty sensor is replaced and recoded by the dealer).

Since some GT's came without the TPM option, it should be possible to have the TPM option removed from the bike's software. But you would need the dealer and their fancy whiz-bang BMW Diagnostic Computer to do that . . .

Some people see the gas tank as half empty. Some see it as half full. All I care is that I know where the next tankful is coming from...
