Question Multifunction display dimmer K1300GT

OK, I'm new here!
When I try to adjust the dimmer on the dash display, all I do is alter the clock - I'm following the handbook obviously. Any ideas??

I've had just the opposite happen, I think it depends on how long you hold the button, I think just a quick press gives you the dimmer, a longer press is the clock.

Just checked my manual, page 47 & 48, yeah just press it once for the dimmer (just a normal press for probably less than a second I would estimate), For the clock you hold down the same button, until it changes to the clock setting mode.

No Problem, yeah just jab it once and you'll be in the mode. If you've never adjusted it, what you do is once it's in the dimmer mode, just keep pressing the button, the LCDs go black for the adjustment, They will go up and down, there is no way to change the way the dimmer is going, it will go full bright then keep pressing and it starts to decrease. You will see how it works once you've gone through the cycle a couple times, just play with it.
