My GPS Mount

So I bought a Garmin Nuvi 2555 for the car and wanted to use it on the GT also.

With the help of those here it was easy to connect up the electrics.

As for the mounting this is what I came up with:
Made with a BMW GPS mount and a RAM GPS holder....and a added piece of steel plate.
The odd screws holding it to the bike wre because the lower screw holes were not tapped correctly and I messed them up even further...requiring some tapping screw. oh well.

the added height was for viewing over my tank bag.

Tetrax FIXWAY Magnetic Mount

Hey I just bought the Nuvi 2555 as well and had the same plan of installing on my 2010 K1300GT.
What exactly was the "help" provided for electrical hookup?
I was planning on using the Garmin nuvi 2555LMT 2555LT 2595LMT GPS hardwire DC power adapter car charger.
Also, I was thinking about using the Tetrax FIXWAY Magnetic Mount on the stock generic mount for a clean removable mount.

You just need the BMW GPS connector
http://www.sierrabmwonline.com/produ...0413585-p-1378

And follow these directions to wire the two together:
http://www.k-bikes.com/forums/showpo...1&postcount=10

And connect it to the already available BMW GPS connector.

Easy Peasy.

GPS pigtail info

Well thank you muchly sir.
I had found a version of the pigtail pictures elsewhere and had found the
the plug at MAX. But I hadn't been to Sierra yet and I really appreciate the "combo"
link that has both the pigtail description and pictures about the location of the OEM connector.
I appreciate the "repeat" post for us slow folks.
