clutch adjustment?

I'm starting to really notice a lurch when I have the clutch pulled in when starting the bike. Is there an adjustment that can be made or is it just time for a new clutch?

No adjustment that I am aware of. Possibly air in the hydraulics?

hmmm....hadn't thought about that. I'll try to purge a little fluid out and see if I get any air.

had same issue : new clutch pack under warranty

had the same issue. Real problem is the fingers in the clutch hub get grooves in them that don't allow the clutch packs to expand on their own when pulling in on the clutch lever. Double clutching seemed to help mine. After some anguish at my dealer they finally replaced the clutch and hub under warranty. This is a common issue and I believe BMW started making later 1300 and 1600 clutch hubs (basket) out of tougher aluminum.

Mine started at 36,000 miles and I have 52+K on it now.

Hope this helps.

You can do it yourself but the job requires special BMW tools which I was told could be ordered if the BMW parts guy really likes you.
