New Clutch Question

If I choose to replace the clutch in my 07 GT (Starting to squak more and more) can I replace with a later model (k1300) clutch? I see different part numbers for 07s & 09s.
If I replace with the OEM clutch for an 2007GT, I would rather not be spending 1.5 k on one such as the crappy one that came with the bike.
Any wisdom would be appreciated.

These bikes are weird. My clutch was one of the items that never gave me trouble. Mine had 88,000+ miles when the changed the basket and they reused the plates.

Another of the UK guys, Chris, went through about 4 clutches on his K1200R Sport before the dealer got it right, its not a case of just banging a 1300 clutch in, certain mods have to be done to the Oil delivery I believe.
