Downshifting issues

This week the bike started having some shifting issues.

I am having a very hard time getting the bike into neutral and when I down shift is acts like the clutch is not fully disengaged and is very hard to go from the upper to the next lower girl.

Any help would be appreciated.

Thanks
Mark

You could be low on fluid or have a leak in the clutch master or slave cylinder, or you could have some wear in the clutch basket. The latter is not uncommon but unfortunately expen$ive.

where do I pick up Mineral Oil as the clutch plate says? Some leaked out when I installed the Ram Ball mount and it is a little low. Thought I would try adding a little before I took it to the BMW Stealership.

I went to AutoZone and McRiley's and they don't have it.

Thanks
Mark

That is special stuff, I don't know where you can get it other than BMW but maybe someone else does. When you top it up I would bleed the system to be sure there is no air in it, that may be what's causing your problem. Or at least I hope it is.

Mineral Oil

Mineral oil? Wow, never expected that on these high tech bikes. If that is what it calls for, check the local pharmacy or hardware store.

How about getting fluid from your dealer? Might get some free advice at the same time

Had the same issue with my 08 GT turned out to be warped clutch plates had them changed under warranty, if no warranty about 500.
After the change it was like a new bike and I enjoyed riding it once again
