Vacuum pump

Could someone tell me if after removing the Rad and replaceing it after a valve check what do I need to refill the rad??What kind of pump works thanks Mike

Instead of BMW's special vacuum filler, I just purchased an UVIEW airlift vacuum coolant filling kit off ebay or somewhere on the net.

In case it helps, I bought a Mityvac 4535 and it works well. If you buy one, you will also need a good air compressor. When in use, the air compressor hiss is very loud. In a closed environment, such as a garage, it would be sensible to wear hearing protection.

It has been a long time since a friend and I did a radiator fill, but I remember that we had to pinch a couple of hoses shut during the fill to block air from coming in. We improvised with wood gluing clamps, but it would have been nice to have the proper plugs or clamps. Oh well, next time.
