I need a manual

I'm new to this forum and I'm buying my first BMW in Texas in mid July. A fly and ride from Ohio and riding back from Dallas. I'm looking for a service manual for a 2007 K1200GT.
Anyone got one lying around the shop that they can part with.

Thank you in advance,
LDM

If no one has one, this would be the CD you need, available from a dealer

Right answer, but it comes in a computer DVD ROM now. You must have Microsoft Windows to run it.

I run it on my Mac in a Windows virtual machine. My Mac runs VMware for virtual machines, but you can also buy Parallels or use the freeware VirtualBox. All work fine.

Please be sure to buy it from an authorized BMW motorcycle dealer.

P.S. If you are looking for the regular user manual (not service manual), you can find PDF files here:

Here is the user manual for your 2007 K1200GT:

My computer is being used as a boat anchor right now. Since getting an Ipad I rarely use the desktop so I'm looking at other options. Not being a techie it will take some time. I needed to look at the manual on my computer for my Goldwing last night and it wouldn't pull it up. I'm thinking a hard copy might work best at this time.

I have never seen the repair/service manual in book form, not even at the dealer. The "User Manual" is simply another term for owners manual. It's useful for telling you where you sit and to contact your certified BMW dealer if have questions. They are in booklet form also.

Manual

1. I've dloaded the user manual but it's the service manual I will need once I get home.

2. I only wish I could afford to take it to the BMW shop !!!

Thanks guys for helping a Newbie!

Clymer Manual

I found a Clymer manual on Amazon.com and ordered it today. It is supposed to cover K1200 GT 2004 through 2008, possibly others. It is Clymer number M501-3. I downloaded the factory repair manual as well from "[email protected]". It is helpful for some issues, but I'm hoping the print Clymer manual has additional detail.

Good luck with your K1200 GT - great bike.

I think that manual only covers the old generation GT 03-05, not the 06-08. Sorry.

Sorry, but your Clymer manual covers the older "Flying Brick" model K1200GTs. The Clymer manual does not apply to our "Slant 4" K1200GTs.

You want the BMW repair DVD (requires Microsoft Windows). Here is the current part number:
5th Edition, part number 01597686043

Older:
4th Edition, part number 01597721680

3rd Edition, part number 015976720811 <- this is the one I bought a few years ago for my 2007 K1200GT. At the time, it was the latest edition, but has been superseded by the above.

They sell for just over $100. I have said it before, but please buy it from an authorized BMW motorcycle dealer.
