GT Pix Daytona . . . Not Your Usual Pix

I was unable to attach these on the original post thread. These pix were not meant to just show the bike but to answer some of the questions re: the GT. e.g. Can a 'large' person fit, foot peg placement, windscreen coverage. FYI, large person on GT is 6' 5", weight unknown.

Great pictures, thanks.

The second picture clearly shows the silver color (Crystal Grey Metallic), instead of the off white so often shown in photos.

Generally rather nice, but that instrument cluster is awful. A 21st century bike design with the speedo assembly that looks like it came from a '53 chevy. What were they thinking!

Or perhaps the radio dials on an old Emerson or Hallicrafters radio. C'mon Beb, retro is in?:p

Or maybe a National, Andrea, Hammarlund, or Collins . . . for a few other blasts from the past! The instruments look better in real life . . . the sunshades relatively ineffective especially at that angle.

Coincidently, I have an old National short wave radio in the basement. This company is the reason why the company "Panasonic" has that name. In Japan, the name of the company was (still is?) "National Electric". But they were unable to sell in the US by that name, because there was already a "National" (the radio comany you mentioned). So they invented the name "Panasonic". We still have an automatic rice cooker that we got 35 years ago as a wedding present (my wife is 3rd generation Japanese) that bears the National label, since it was brought in by a local retailer direct from Japan at that time. The ones that were imported the "proper" way had a Panasonic label.

Sorry about the diversion. But I am glad to hear the instruments on the new KGT look better in real life. This is a bike I want to get!
