We're gettin' darn close!!!

We must be gettin' close to the arrival of the new K1200GT. BMW has just pushed out the new GT1 software CDs to the dealers. This includes new information (i.e., diagnostics, electrical diagrams, required tools, control unit functions, etc...) for the following bikes:
  • R1200GS Adventure
  • K1200GT (K44, the new one)
  • R1200RTP (the police version)
  • F800S
  • F800ST
  • R1200S
I've been told by my dealer that the R1200GS Adventure should be in sometime over the next week or two. We'll see if BMW stays on schedule. With so many dealers scheduling open houses toward the end of April, I'm thinking that the initial dealer demo K1200GTs will be in sooner, rather than later, but that is PURE SPECULATION on my part.

BMW apparel leather or textile?

I have purchased a new K1200GT and am waiting for delivery. What are the users of BMW apparel opinions on their suits/leather and textiles. I am very confused with all the choice out there.
Need some good advice

F800's? Must be a common CD for the product line, as I understood the F800's were going to be available in the NA market. Then again, maybe they'll show up in Canada, and service will be needed if they travel here in the US?

I heard much of the same from my dealer today but he has a new GS Adventurer in the box at the shop. It is not sold yet and will not be held for display. I am also dealing with the fact my neighbor, one of my best friends, and riding buddy will be picking up his new FJR! FJR beats GT in race to US! Bummer! He will have a lot of fun rubbing it in as we both sold our bikes recently to make way for the new ones. Maybe he will let me ride it. After all I taught him how to ride. I'll have my payback when the cold comes back and he parks his. I'll ride in it all except ice and deep snow. Alabama sees little of both.
