Vacuum on Fuel Cap

What would cause the gas cap to be very hard to pop open after unlocking? Just did a 10 day vacation with 7 riding days and filled up in the evening. Each night it was very hard to open the cap, it even sucked the body panels around the tank in because when I released the cap the whole top of the bike expanded out a little.

I had the bike in for a lot of work last year (new coils, clutch, etc.) and hadn't done longer mileage like this since then. Could the dealer have pinched a vent tube?

Also had it die a couple of days at the end of the day at stoplights after riding all day. Is that the old air box issue?
