Custom paint for GT?

A few folks have expressed a negative opinion on the "slab sided" or "acres of plastic" presented by the new GT.

But, there's been some who have indicated that although its really not too bad, a little custom paint might help smooth out the issue. I'm in the 2nd camp.

So, with that in mind, what what you do to spruce up the paint on the new GT if you had the opportunity?

Without taking on the costs of painting, I really think the new GT is just SCREAMING for some type of graphics to break up that flat slab of plastic -- stripes, checkers, something to accent the side. Or God forbid, flames!

Then again, you could just call FastGraphics and get your local pest control company to advertise on it. Or maybe you could suppliment your payments by having "Budweiser" and the famous clydesdales posted on the side of it.

I'll take mine in Blue or Crystal Grey, please.

Talking Great Idea, Eljeffe

Thanks for the idea - I own a pest control company in your town. Had given some thought of making my bike an "brand awareness billboard" but did not want to screw up my KS. Would certainly consider paying you to carry my flag on your bike should you spring for a new GT. But then, I would need some sort of control as to what kind of estabishments you would park the bike in front of. Happy riding!

Hmmmmmmmm, a marketing wrap or stick on graphics. I suppose the latter has some small promise, but I don't think we're making great aesthetic progress here

Hell, then your K1200GT would be a TAX DEDUCTION!!!!

I'm headed down to the shop in a little bit.

I'm thinking a big cockroach graphic! Maybe even a 3 dimensional kevlar model that mounts on the pillion! All sicko's!

This was a simple vinyl decal I had made to break up the paint. (I hope the picture carry over)

I made the pattern out of sheet paper and took it to a sign maker. they put it on their computer and cut out the vinyl. Then I put it on, That was not so easy.
cost me about $65.

If the Crystal Grey bike is silver like I am being told, I'm thinking along the lines of the best looking color combination the K1200RS ever had:

That actually was my first (and continuing) thought - although substituting the factory gray tank color for the blue.
