Gadget Guy Mount

It appears that the Gadget Guy mount that works on the K1200RS will work on the new K1200GT. The pictures shown on the Gadget Guy site show a Garmin Quest on Kit III/Base II (which works with several other Garmin units)

his mounts really are some of the best made, ever
i am only 5'6", and i wonder if short guys like me will be able to see the clocks and LCD screen on the dash because of the height of this mount. at 6'3" i know that you will have a better chance of success there, Jeff.

Took delivery of my K12GT yesterday!

For the GPS mount: I bought the original BMW Navigator II mount for the K12GT and put my Garmin 276C marine bracket on it (only the GPS clamp, not the entire marine mount of course!): works like a charm: fits very neatly, only had to drill the 276C mount holes a bit to fit the screws that were provided with the BMW mount. Retails for about 20 USD here in Europe!

Excellent positioning between the handles!

Rgds

The pictures on Gadgetguy's site are from my bike and show my Quest on the GT.

I'm not the tallest guy in the world (5'10") and can assure you that as the mounts are infinitely adjustable that you'll easily be able to see all of the clocks and dials as well as being able to fit the BMW tank bag and still see the GPS unit.

Give it a try, it's expensive (especially importing it into the UK with HMG Customs Import Taxes) but it looks the business!!

Are you using the 7.5" bar or the 11" bar? I was curious, because I'm thinking of using a longer bar to mount Satellite Radio and Radar Detector on both ends.

Please post a picture of the K12GT GPS Mount from NavII

That sounds like a wonderful solution

I used the 11" inch bar but cut it to size as I didn't have access to a smaller bar. If I remember I'll try to measure the exact size tonight when I get home and post here.

I think, from memory that if you left it at full size you should have sufficient room on both ends as well as the middle to meet your requirements. There's certainly room for a longer bar that won't foul the steering etc.
