Yeh, it's enormous. I tried to put my K/S bag on it since I have extra S mounting parts but the bag is too wide for the GT tank width. BMW bags are amoung the best that I have seen. Pricey but greatly quality and functioning.

Somebody will have a reasonably priced one out soon.

Yes- I have one.

As you'd expect it fits the GT perfectly and is sculptured over the tank. It is quite large in its basic format but will be very useful for 2 up touring.

The bag has an integral waterproof lining and so no more messing around with rain covers. It also has two small external pockets as well as a rather nifty zipping system that allows for expansion of the bag without having to lug other "pieces" of the bag around to expand the capacity.

Cost about 145 UK.

I had the dealer install it on my new GT. I've never used tank bags on my bikes before (GL1800, etc). It's nice, but when I turn the handle bars all the way to left, it hits the horn button. Do you others with this bag have the same problem? . . . does it need to be re-positioned, or is this normal?

The gas cap mount is the same as my RT, has anyone tried a BMA bag on it? I have one that I can test when mine finally gets here.

Just got mine today. At 300 bucks highway robbery, but then again, it fits great and built BMW standards.

I like the new BMW tankbag. I think they finally learned how to do a rain cover - integrate it with the bag. Not quite a sophisticated as Chicane does it, but the job.

I just put my BMW tankbag on just 5 minutes ago. Other than inventing a few new words trying to get the front harness installed, it's a great bag. Similar to one I had on the S...I like the way it holds its shape.

I also put in the Centech AP1; the 10 AWG wire stiff enough to hold it in place, altho may stick a piece of velcro forward to adhere to whatever that big gray thing is in front of battery.

Neat, now I can as you well know, power the various junk neatly.

John,

If you get a chance, I'd sure like to see some pics of your new tankbag and Centech in the battery compartment. But if you're too busy riding, I'd also understand.

Thanks man.
