Anyone get a new horn yet?

Oh gawd! Is the stock horn whimpy or what?!?!

I barely had the guy who tried to merge me into the concrete barrier give a second look with the meep meep horn we have. Has anyone tried the FIAMMs that Pirate sells for the K1200S?

I noticed that on my test ride. After enjoying and using the horn on the RT many times I was surprised that they went back to one of those. A dual Fiamm or something like it would be nice.

Come on, be the first :nudge :nudge go for it and let us know if it works

i have the dual fiamm on my GS and it is amazing. i can't believe that BMW can't give us a decent horn for the money we are paying.
forget the money.... it's just that the bike has been built for SAFETY so why isn't there a proper horn from the factory?

Greg,

No issues with the CAN-Bus and the FIAMMs? I guess not, or you wouldn't have recommended it.

Off to Pirate's site I go!

surprisingly not.
i had my dealer install that twin unit on my GS as they'd had experience on several other bikes before mine. i've had no issues and those horns really command respect and attention. i have them on my LT as well (no CAN-Bus, i know). i recommend them highly

I've decided to get this one. Pirate uses it on his S.

No need to make a bracket for the other side.

Jerry is awesome. I've bought things from him for 3 BMWs and 1 MV Agusta, so he's always top on my list. But we also must acknowledge that the real power is Amber. LOL!!

Sorry, Jerry, I couldn't resist.

I have the Stebel Magnum on my S and it's great, sounds like a tain; the only thing is - position it facing down and when you wash the bike do not spray water inside. It will take a few days to dry and the sound it makes when wet is not that pleasant.

Cheers,
Nick
