Rode The GT-2000 Miles 4 Days

Rode the new GT. These are my impressions.

Pro:
Tons of power! Almost as much as my S.
Better riding position-much like the RT
Much easier to turn in slow speed turns
Very good on gas mileage-50 mpg at 65mph indicated
Real highway mileage burner-citation magnet! Too bad it won't be a production police motor
Windscreen is great in warm or cooler temps

Con:
seat is hard-pain in the a___. (read major monkey butt!
narrow faring (upper) exposes shoulders and elbows
vibration at certain rpms 3600-4000 sometimes annoying!
make sure your saddlebag strap that holds the lid to the bag is attached-if not, lid will hit the pavement

Should be at your local dealer soon after the US Press launch this week.
Will have one. But must figure out how to keep my S and a new GT

Regards,

Motorman

Should add a couple of other points.

Con:
The low beam headlight is a waste! Don't bother using it. No one can see it.
If you use the high beam (highly recommended) it washes out the turn signals.

They really should have added the turn signals behind the mirrors as like on the S.

Do I hear a Xenon upgrade coming on? No problems with visibility there!
