Fuel range

I've put 400 miles on the new blue GT so far while I live through break-in torture.

With all of two fill ups completed I was wondering what other have experienced. First tank was 5.0 gal - readout showed 23 miles left. Second fill up was 5.3 gal with 0 miles left on the readout. Since the tank is supposedly 6.3 gal I'm wondering what the real range is?

Other comments - seat mosltly sucks.... Handling is incredible. Power seems wonderful with broad torque range. Not completely tested yet. Windscreen is nice but too short to help me (6'7"). I've got a CB++ on order. RPMs in high gear at 80MPH are suprisingly high - 5,000.

The bags are huge. I got one of those interrupts to pick up some groceries and the cases will swallow three grocery bags. I'm trying to use this fact to justify the $20K bike - not being too successful.

When my low fuel light comes on it take's about 4.7 gallons to fill it up. It's going to take a brave person to ride long enough with the low fuel light on to test the real amount the tank holds!

I was able to put 260 miles this past weekend in the mountains. 6000-8000 feet. It took 5.4 gallons, so that means there was 1 gallon left in the tank. I don't expect to get anywhere near that down here in Texas.
