Smile Hi everybody

Just got the new GT(Blue). Hope to take it home tomorrow after all paperwork is done. Bought a top case(small)and have a question: has anybody already changed the exhaust can? I heard the sound of Laser HotCam DS Titanium (slip-on) on K12S and really adored it.The stock cans seem to be the same on GT and KS. So is it possible to use the Laser can designed for KS on GT?
And what is better - to use the new can from 0 or after the first service?
Many thanks in advance.

Take care!

Welcome!

I was thinking of getting the Remus Titanium once it is available for the GT, but after riding it almost 3000 miles, I'm thinking I'll keep it stock. I thought I wanted a better exhaust tone, but after the long ride, I'm thinking BMW got it right.

I talked to the service manager in a dealership today and found that the part numbers of cans K12S and new GT are different. It means the cans are not equal. So it's better to wait for a while.

Take care!

I also e-mailed inquiry to LASER Holland and got their reply: the Laser can for KS does not suite '06 GT and they are not going to produce those cans for GT. This year at least. But at present I do not want to replace the can as the stock one is so sweet :-)).

Take care!

I heard that Remus is making a system for the GT. I haven't seen it yet.

I fitted a Two Brothers C4 about four years ago but had to put the stock back on. The can was cooler, which was a massive plus but there was no noticable change in performance that I noticed and the noise was just too much. Touring, the drone was not helpfull. An expensive mistake but now I'm stuck with the dangerously hot can again. Any ideas?
