APE Cam Chain Tensioner

Has anyone installed the APE Pro cam chain tensioner? I had the plastics off for the first time today and I noticed I still have the stock unit. I don't have any chain rattle yet, but I'm just trying to take precautionary measures. Also are there any other brand of tensinoer that y'all recommend?

Thanks!

Yes I have been using it for just over 33k miles now.

every so often I tighten it up because of the rattle upon start-up.

What do you need to know?

I just wanted to know how often you've had to adjust it. Like I mentioned I don't have any chain rattle yet and I'm at 45,000 miles. I think I'm just going to order a manual tensioner and throw the jump guard on at the same time just to be safe.

The chain jump guard is the most important. Wouldn't ride it again til that was done.

Mine rattles upon start up....I address it when necessary.

This is the part I was looking at. Also, just called the dealership and had them run my vin. Looks like the jump guard was installed back in 2013!
