New software coming

The following is consistent with what has been reported from members across the pond.

I sent a email to BMW a couple of days ago regarding the poor throttle response on my GT. They responded that they were unaware of any problems with the GT, however, there is a new software release coming in the next couple of weeks that may address this problem. Hmmmmm....

WTF???

They were unaware of the problem, but were releasing a software upgrade that may fix it?

I hope the new s/w doesn't "fix" my throttle response. I LOVE it! 4500 miles, and no problems with the throttle.

Brian, that was exactly my thinking.

Joe, I am jealous. Today riding a couple hundred miles out on the WA coast with cool temps, the GT was again flawless. I just want this bike to perform that way EVERY time I take it out. If your bike is working as advertised, I would not let your dealer install any new software releases, ain't broke, don't fix it.

Funny this.

You see in the Uk, BMW could hardly say they weren't aware of the problem.

My dealer has had 6 of the 6 bikes he has sold come back with resounding thumbs down!

He has effectively stopped selling them for the minute.,
