Is top speed electronicaly limited

I was wondering what the top speed of a 06-07 BMW K1200GT is, I know the factory just says above 200 KMH. Is it electronicaly limited? Not that I will be running around at this speed ,but just wondering how it stacks up against others.

GT top and speed and other stats

I cut and paste the following info from an old thread I started. It has the info you are looking for.

Just received a copy of the UK bike paper, Motorcycle News - 31 May edition (was posted to me by family in the UK). They have a 3 page spread comparing the GT, FJR and ST1300. I couldn't see any comments posted about it so sorry of this is a repeat.

I won't write the whole thing up but the GT won the comparison with 5 stars. Both the FJR and ST1300 got 4 stars. A few quotes about the GT:

One day all bikes should be made to work like the BMW (referring to ESA).
The best brakes, the best looking and with ESA, its just the best.
The BMW is sharper and smarter than its touring rivals.

They also did some performance measurements.

Top speed:
GT - 157.32 mph
FJR - 152.92 mph
ST - 141.67 mph

1/4 Mile:
GT - 11.21 s
FJR - 11.53 s
ST - 12.22 s

Top Gear Roll On (40-120 mph):
GT - 13.80 s
FJR - 16.60 s
ST - 17.85 s

Brake test (70-0 mph)
GT - 52.19 metres
FJR - 56.38 metres
ST - 54.17 metre

THanks for that info BJN, I was intersted in seeing how it went against the others. The 1/4 mile times were better than I expected.

Fastest I have run my K12GT up to now is 233 km/h (GPS km, not speedo km) or 146 mph, and there was still a lot to go for....

With the BMW large screen. I have the CB +5/+3 now installed.
