ESA Rear Shock spring

CUrrently looking at upgrading from a 98 KRS to the new GT - mostly two up riding. The two of us are not the lightest - typically 520 - 540 lbs on long trips (luggage and all)
The KRS has Ohlins and the ride with us two up is nice and firm. When we test rode the KGT - the ride was nice but not as tight as I would like. Looking at some of the other posts some people are use the "plus luggage" ESA setting to firm up the ride. JUst about all of the GT's coming stateside are fully optioned - and include the ESA. The other choice is to try to go for a special order - which I may do.

Does anyone know if there ss there a way to change out the rear spring for a higher rate spring? Just thinking of the possibilities.
Thanks,
Bill

spring...

not sure about the spring option but the wife and I rode our GT with the standard solo setting for over two hundred miles.

The bike felt OK but did wallowed a bit and I just could not figure out why. I clicked in normal and sport but actually had forgotten about the "two-up" settings.

I finally dialed in "solo with luggage" and man what a difference, firm and responsive. The ride from Jacksonville to Atlanta Sunday was a pleasure..................except for the seat. OUCH

Two up may be even firmer but don't believe we need it.
