Your Max GT Performance *chough*

OK, I figure that I would start a thread where GT riders could post their max speed for informational purposes only.

Obviously exceeding the posted speed limit is dangerous and illegal and may result in injury death and hefty fines. It is recommended that this only be done on a closed track with proper rider training and in controlled conditions. This website does not condone or encourage such actions and is not responsible for anything bad that happens to you as a result of these actions and in no way has sanctioned this thread or activity. Finally, posting speeds here that are in excess of posted limits is not an admission of guilt regarding any traffic laws.

In short, if you hurt or kill yourself or others, or you get in trouble with the law, it is on you. You sit with it, you deal with it, you did it.

That said, please post a visual is possible. A screenshot of your GPS is a great one.

I have no GPS or other pic, but I got to 132.

I've been to 230 kph (142 mph), no proof, just my word. This is speedo optimisitic as well.
I did maintain this velocity for over 10 miles if that counts for anything.

BTW, this was on a track under supervised conditions.

And stay posted, I'm looking to improve on this number. I believe it's possible to "bury" the needle at 260 kph and I'm certainly going to be giving that a try real soon.

OK before this gets out of control, I want to state now and unequivocally that Deep Blue Metallic is the fastest color. You guys with CGM and DGM can fight it out for second place...

Wrong answer!!!

My magic silver has sustained speeds (on a closed track/circuit) of:

141 with large topcase and side bags on, (not the most stable ride...)

151 with no bags.

This is GPS speed and was sustained for a period of time... on a closed course of course.

I haven't had mine over 130, but I can confirm the speedo is pretty accurate. Up to 90 mph mine is only off by 2mph vs a GPS(garmin quest II). Over 90 mph, I don't hold a steady speed long enough to confirm with a GPS. Its 2 mph optimistic from 30mph all the way to 90, not a percentage like any other bike I've owned. It's always reads 2mph high.

I was shocked at the speedo's accuracy on the OEM Z6 tires. After I wore them out, I put on Avon 45/46 STs and the speedo was about 3-5 mph optimistic. Last week I had to mount tires for a long weekend trip, and put on Pirelli Diablos. They show within a mph or less accuracy on the speedo vs. gps. They also stick like hell!!! Of course, the rear is worn out after 2000 miles, so I dont' think I'll get another set.

Held 148, with large top case, for over 50 miles... closed track of course.
154-158 without bags, short burst....also on closed track of course.
Both bike speedo.
