Alarm and GPS

One more question guys. I'm bringing my BMW alarm and my GPS over from my R1200GS. Anyone know where the factory alarm installs on this bike? Also I assume somewhere around the steering head the plug for the GPS into the canbus lives?

Thanks for your help guys

The GPS plug is wire-tied in front (near the steering head) of the battery. It is also my understanding that the alarm goes under the pillion seat.

Be careful though with the alarm placement. That is also where the intercom would go as well. If you have an 07 bike you may want to consider moving it in front of the ABS under the left side panel. There is a ton of room there.

Mine has the dealer installed factory alarm, and its installed under the pillon seat. I also have an Autocom sound system, the control of which is mounted in the same area. There's plenty of room for both.
