No KGT Go to Kona, Hawaii

Hello my friends. While my KGT is at Corbin being fitted for the seats I decided it would be a good time to get away, far away. So the wife and I flew to Kona, Hawaii for a week at the Hilton. Flew in late yesterday and this morning we were greeted with a 6.6 earthquake. We're on the 5th floor and I was reminded of the words "What a ride, what a ride!" I didn't know a building could shake like that and not fall apart. Only slight building damage, no injuries. Still no power but it certainly could have been worse.

Talk to you soon.

What an adventure! Kona and an earthquake! Glad everything is okay (except the power).

My wife and I have been to Kona six of the past eight years. I love the Big Island.

If you get a chance (and the electricity is back on), head up to the Country Club at Waikoloa Village. They serve Parker Ranch beef up there.

Also, there's a place in Waimea that used to be called the Koa House Grill. It's pretty good as well.

And as you go the southern route around the island, there is a little hole in the wall called Ma Bells Kitchen. She has these green chili fish tacos that are one of a kind.

And I do recommend the Blue Hawaiian Helicopter tours. Ask for "kiwi". He's the New Zealander chopper pilot. If he is still flying for them, he'll show you a lot of "extras" at only a little urging.

When you get frustrated over the electricity thing, just think, you could be in Buffalo with 2 feet of snow and now power.

Take care and have fun!

Love the island. Saw it on the news before your post. Who would have thought it? Drink a Kona coffee for me. Glad all is safe.
