I just run Motolights for now. You can get them with the amber bulbs, which is a fog light, but is really conspicuous like all get out. I mean, them baby's make you keep looking. A friend runs them on his LT and when I do my scan, I always hesitate a second when I catch them in the mirror.

I, personally, don't prefer them. Rather have the leetle bit of extra light.

I roll with PIAA 1100x mounted to the fender lug. They work great.

I'm curious about the mountings. I've heard of them mounted to the lower forks, on the fender mount tabs and under the cowl where the oil cooler is, but haven't seen how they look on the bike.

Just installed caliper mounted Motolights. Really like them- a lot more light when the headlight is on low beam, look good, and are hugely more conspicuous than accessory lights placed closer to the headlight. There are good pictures on the motolight.com site.

Motolights

I installed the caliper mounted motolights, 55w bulb upgrades. One bulb blew after about 15 hours. Motolight overnighted me a bulb, a lense and a wrench, all at no charge. The customer service is simply incredible. 20 more hours on the lights and they are magnificent!! They light the lane and the shoulder for quite a ways. I almost never use the bright beam anymore.

Best,

Gravity

The Motolights do look good, though pricey. Not that price will ever stop me. Do they give you a switch and relay or do I have to dig those out of my parts bin?

The set comes with a switch and relay. I installed mine thru a centech fuse box, which is relay swithched to the low beam headlight wire, so didn't need their switch or relay. This turns them on after the bike is runnning. I did't want one more switch to worry about, and knew that I always wanted them on while driving, even (especially?) during the daytime.

Could you provide some details. I have Motolights on my LT and other than other people seeing me better don't think they do much for me seeing. I have PIAA's on my GS, they work great. So, am interested in your installation, what model(s), pix if available, etc.

Thanks in advance.
