My 600 mile service

Took the GT in today for its 600 mile service at 1237 miles. They did change the final drive oil. After 9 attempts to do the 7.0.1 upgrade they gave up until they can talk to BMWNA further. I told them about the update - the computer guy downloaded it from there website, unzipped it and moved it over to the service computer. The update would run, say it's complete, but would still give the old version. I am only pressing for the update in hopes of taking care of that just off idle bucking. Mind you I have been able to easily work around the issue and could drive the bike 18 million miles with it and still be happy, but someone has to learn them how to do it! I will once again say that my bike, as my other BMW's, was bought and serviced by Greater Boston Motorsports in Boston. I can not say enough how much I recommend this dealership. There sales, service, and parts department are top notch and very good with prices.

I don't know as my first 3 services were part of my purchase deal. I know the 12k one has to be expensive according to the check list they gave me today.

Good that you have the first 3 service included in the purchasing price... You smart!

12k service is quite a bit more money.

My friend has a k1200rs, he told me it's around $500 for his 12k service. Brake and cluth fluid another $300 or so.
