'07 GT speedo pretty accurate

Just checked my speedo against gps. Indicated 70 showed 68-68.5 on gps. Indicated 80 showed gps speed of 78-78.5. That is a whole lot closer than the other 4 beamers I've had. I guess that would be about 2% optimistic.
I now have a little over 1000 trouble free miles. Dealer forgot to drain rear drive oil, so may have it done before snow flies, or next Spring.
My Cee bailey +4/+2 should arrive tomorrow. I have my name on the list for the Spring debut of the Sargeant seat. but am not sure I really need a new seat yet. I don't think I have the version 7 software installed, and am happy so far with what I have.

Really glad to hear you're enjoying your KGT. What other rides have you had and how do they compare to the KGT?

that's strange
because mine is LESS accurate than my '05 GS
50 indicated is 46 gps
70 indicated is 65 gps

my '96 R1100RT was much WORSE than that
my '02 LT was about the same
my '05 GS was almost 100% accurate

the problem is that the odometer is ALSO "optimistic"
meaning that your bike will show MORE miles on the clock than you've actually travelled
by as much as 5-7%, which i do NOT like
thank goodness that warranties are for UNlimited miles
