Large or Small Soft Rear Bag?

BMW seems to offer 2 from El Jeffe's post Dated Feb 28.

71 60 7 694 117 Sport softbag small

71 60 7 693 567 Sport softbag large.

I have Seen pictures of jpalamros small sportbag, anyone have an idea or a picture of the large bag. Not sure which one I want?

Any opinions?

hazard,

I went with the large soft bag for the "just in case" factor. I didn't check into the small bag in detail so I don't know about the similarities but I can tell you I'm very pleased with the large bag. It's extremely versatile. It can mount on the rear pillion or the back rack with ease. I'm sorry that I can't show a picture of it on the bike as I don't have my bike right now. I trust someone else can help with the picture on bike. If you want to see a few pictures of the bag itself, let me know and I'll attach them tonight.

If in doubt, go big.

SO if it's not a problem, and one does not have picture of the large bag on the bike, then yeah it would be nice to see a picture. I have seen the small bag in this thread:

No problem. We're both on the west coast so it'll be around 8:00 PM when I post the pictures.

Hazard,

I saw eljeffe's post and bought the big one. Couldn't part with the cash for the large hard box. It isn't as elegant as the '49 hard case, but it doesn't look like a small spaceship on the back of the bike either. The gray/black goes well with the Dark Graphite Metallic bike.

It's very functional. Waterproof, except for the zippers on the end pockets (if any designers are reading this, waterproof zippers are on the market...). Main pocket has an integral waterproof collar, much like a high quality backpack.

Easy on/off is nice too. Tuck away duffel bag handles and a snap off shoulder strap make it easy to carry. With the shoulder strap you can sling it and carry your side boxes at the same time.

Ride on,
Jeff
