I wonder if BMW will treat this model as a separate model from the S line, unlike when they did the 03'-05 K1200GT where it was a essentially an RS with extra stuff on. I'd like to see a larget gas tank (6 gals. up), more upright ergos, cushier seat (w/backrest option ) maybe extra storage in the front, etc. Then they have the redesign of the KLT next...

Manfred
Great information on the 1200GT. For myself, the ergos, colors, engine, and available
equipment make it a winner from someone coming from an 1150RT. I hope the late 2005 intro date is also for the U.S. I would settle for March 06'. As stated in a previous
post I have already dropped a deposit. Keep the updates coming.

Thanks,

Phil

HID headlights - it would not surprise me at all, if BMW were the first manufacturer to have HID headlights as standard on some of their models.

Cheers

Xenon headlight from BMW

Saw the xenon light on the LT this past weekend at Irv Seaver BMW. It's a $450 option for LT from BMW, factory. Looks like BMW will start to have those Xenon light as option for different model just like Porsche. Don't think it will be standard equipment.

Unfortunately no. I only copied the posting of a forum member who has access to the BMW Extranet. The announcement "end of 2005" obviously points to the yearly event in early December.

HID headlight will also be an option on the new BMW F800S which will make its debut in Italy next month according to Backroads magazine (Nov. issue). I hope they have this option for the S soon.
